First 2 days of Adventure at Happy Family ^_^
Remebered waking up at 3.30pm on Sunday.. reckoned I stayed at hone all day, cant rem what I did.. at night, sis informed her ccc's aunty is down with dengue and will be resting at home for 2 weeks.. poor sis, had to cover up for aunty again.. so much work to do.. cleaning, cooking + doing her usual stuff as a ccc principal.. being a smart alice, I offered my help for the first day.. who knows, it began my 2 weeks assignment at Happy Family Child Care Centre as "New Aunty On Da Block"..
Woke up at 6.35am on Monday.. that was before daybreak.. only can rem myself still wide awake at this hour, and not just waking up.. took sis' car to Bishan.. began our day's work shortly upon arrival.. breakfast was served at 9am, courtesy of Nigel, sis' bf.. he's so nice to bring breakfast for almost everyone at the ccc... we had fried bee hoon with fishcake and chicken wing! Such a spread! I dun eat such heavy breakfast, yet I finished it all.. cant imagine sis' ex being so good to her.. offered to get her breakfast despite himself rushing for work.. hahaha... such a good bf, I ALSO WANT ^_^ So, sis will be the chef for the next 2 weeks.. I am the kitchen assistant for same period!! Initially I had wanted to help whenever I felt like it.. sis' boss asked her if a part timer is needed to cover aunty's work, but she wanted me to help instead, so I agreed to the assignment and her boss agreed to pay me a small amount returning the favour.. breakfast of biscuits and milk was served to the kids at 9am.. lots of cups to wash.. started to prepare lunch and the ingredients for the next day.. at 11am, chicken stew, white rice and lotus root soup were served.. it is simply DELICIOUS :) never tot sis could cook so well as she almost doesnt do it at home kekeZzz.. lunch was served from 11-12pm to abt 70 children.. lots of bowls to wash.. it was all manual work yet the environment is really happy and i get to see lots of KIDS which made me even happier ^_^
Things start to get less busy after washing up.. at 1+, i went out to J8 for movie Hide and Seek alone.. a suspense thriller.. it keeps me glued to the screen from the beginning to the end.. Loved this scene the most: Music playing and the screen was showing Dakota Fanning's view towards the sky as backdrop and tree branches revolving while her onscreen mum spinned her on the merry-go-round with her lying down.. its at the beginning of the movie.. Fanning is such a good actress at a young age.. THUMBS UP for her performance.. think she outshone Robert DeNiro.. 9/10 for her performance and 8/10 for the movie.. Not gonna reiterate the ending of the story, its for those interested to find out.. but its a good movie to me, much better than those senseless horror films.. Back to ccc after the movie, sat ard for an hr before joining sis and colleague to compass pt.. bot a pair of bossini jeans for 26.40 nia.. altering and will be collecting these few days.. RATING FOR THE DAY: 8/10 FRUITFUL
Today, Tuesday, begins my 2nd day at HF CCC.. more familiar of the routine than yesterday and able to execute my tasks faster.. got to know some of the kids, the cute ones, naughty ones, talkative ones, playful ones, etc.. they are all CUTE to me, esp a few of them.. those in playgroup and N1.. only slightly more than 2 years old and totally cute.. Amalia shouting I WANT PANCAKES! cute.. XueNing, the big-eyed "Pang Niu" started talking to me.. MingLi, the cute thingy who cant really talk.. Jerilyn the sweet baby.. Wayne, the handsome young boy who always passed by the kitchen, waving to me and say "Hi Wendy!", Novelle, the pretty 7-yr-old who stayed at my house twice, including last Sat when I was out at CB.. and JUSTIN! The 2-yr-old TERROR!! breakfast for me was a Sausage McMuffin with coffee, for the kids was cornflakes with milk.. lunch was fish porridge and agar-agar.. tea break for today is pancakes and chrysanthemum tea, whlie yest was kaya bread with milk, which i missed out earlier.. less busy after 2pm.. i read my papers and did some designing while waiting to go home.. knock off time at 4.30pm.. we went to ntuc and bot chicken rice home.. RATING FOR THE DAY: 8/10 AGAIN FRUITFUL.. + had a great time with the kids.. they are again, SO CUTE!! tomolo will be another day to look forward to, and I've planned to catch another movie at orchard cineleisure.. :)
