First day to a long break ^_^

Yo yo... today marks the begining of my long break till end June... I have been busy ever since I started this job in May 2008. Being regular at work and not forgetting my diligence which gained some recognition in the workplace.. I am a team lead now and claimed to be the best in some applications, also being a trainer and subject matter expert.. hehe, this is what you should get if you really put your heart and soul in whatever you are doing :D I can say I am so much happier now, being able to balance work and personal life (at least for now)... And also, not forgetting the arrival of my baby girl... in just 2 weeks, maybe earlier or later :D

I am trying to spend as much time as possible with my hubby now, knowing our couplehood is ending soon, and then a little girl will come along... Watched a VCD with hubby till late last night and woke up only at 10am this morning.. started the day with some chores as usual, clearing up more space for the baby stuff... so far everything is quite prepared and ready for her touch down... had lunch with my in-laws who came by for a visit... we discussed the placement of the baby cot according to my father-in-law's fengshui guidance :) at 3pm, went to compasspoint with my mum to enjoy the free air-con and bought additional milk bottles and baby stuff.. After researching and reading up breastfeeding books and articles, I am more confident and determined to breastfeed my baby (if I can be a milking cow :D) Breastmilk is certainly better for babies and also can take off some of the financial burden to purchase formula milk powder.. But the equipment doesn't come cheap.. I am lucky enough that my sis-in-law gave me a manual pump which I only have to buy some accessories to go with it.. I saved about 200 bucks instantly.. I am considering to buy an electric one and other accessories can wait till I get back to work.. Some knowledge sharing for those who eventually want to get married and have babies... Medela is considered the best brand for breastpumps.. Avent is not bad and equally pricey.. Pigeon is cheaper but still reliable.. My free pump is from Avent, so I bought Avent accessories and milk bottles to go with them..

The free pump that I have..

Avent feeding bottles, my favourite...

That'll be all for today ^_^
