Koi - finally, after so many years
Now playing on my radio is "Koi" by Kitaro.. finally after so many years I am able to hear this song in full.. The first time I heard this piece of beautiful music was in 1994, during a visit to the Science Centre. That year, I was in sec 2 and was a prefect.. I can remember clearly where I heard it.. It was in the omni theatre where it showcast the story of Grand Canyon.. and played this piece of music.. I fell in love with it immediately, for the music and the Grand Canyon... since then, always had this vision that I could visit the Grand Canyon one day.. if only someone would take me there...
Koi ~ never knew this is the title.. never knew its by Kitaro.. never had a chance to get to know more of this piece of music since that day.. maybe I never made any effort to search for this piece.. What I had was just a melody and some memories... It has been 10 years already and I finally own this piece of music that I yearn I could listen to it whenever I want... It was just yesterday when my sis drove us to Punggol Plaza for dinner, there was this video fair and this Kitaro VCD was selling for only $6.90.. at this price, it is an original gold disc.. but it was recorded live in America in 1991.. perhaps it is too outdated, that's why its selling at this price... played it and discovered it was the 3rd song.. the whole concert is about a story adapted from the original Kojiki, the ancient chronicle of the creation of Japan... the instruments painted a serene picture of the scenes.. you can practically live within the music.. and seeing how Kitaro performed is a feeling that he is totally immersed into his music.. I think his life only contains music, mountains and rivers.. if only I can live like him..
Hajimari ~ In the beginning
This is the first song of the concert and I'm using the title as my msn nick currently.. this word also reminds me the beginning of everything.. the beginning of life, beginning of school, beginning of work, beginning of a relationship, etc... someone just told me this word sounds like some squid or something.. I think he is referring to calamari.. nope, no mistake, its Hajimari - In the beginning..
Attended class tonight.. International Trade tute was a killer.. all the while we are talking about apples and bananas.. how many units of labour requirement you give up for producing apples that you can put into the production of bananas.. blah blah blah.. the tute questions are difficult.. we attempted but some questions can't do/got right/did wrong, etc.. what's worse is the tutor actually made a casual remark that we copied the answers and infuriated Tracy.. this is such a lame remark.. well, he's gonna get it when Tracy writes him an email to complain against his remark.. haiz... Network management tute was slightly better, cuz at least I got a $2 reward for answering a question related to binary digits.. I took only 2 seconds to get the answer.. it just came almost without thinking or writing.. just plain simple mental calculations.. well the 2 bucks eventually went into contributing to my cab fare back home, when Dad couldn't pick me up tonight...
Feeling abit sleepy now.. Kitaro's music still on and feeling the serenity and imaginations of flying over the mountains and floating on the ocean.. watching seabirds flying by and dolphins swimming past.. painting a beautiful picture with all the natural things on earth.. How I wish all these could be before my eyes now.. I've always love nature.. nature is so beautiful and so wonderful.. If one day I die, I just wish to return to the nature, merge together with the winds and into the sea... Forever...
