Goodbye Toothie!
I had my first wisdom tooth removed this morning.. at 9.30am, I reached Bishan Mcdonald's, having been chaffeured by sis and breakfast complimentary of Nigel. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to enjoy good food after the surgery, I indulged in a sinful McDonald's Big Breakfast, gumbling all the food except the last 2 pieces of scrambled eggs... People, I never like scrambled eggs, too much of them made me sick... at 10.10am, I reached the doorstep of the dental clinic.. it's a quiet morning, just one patient before me and I'm up next.. having discussed the payment details with the dental nurse, I headed off to the "operating theatre" which comprised a "surgery seat", dental equipment, a table full of stuff, a young, chubby, veiled dentist, and not forgetting the white chair which greeted me when I entered the room.. it was in fact my 2nd visit there, having taken the x-ray on the 1st visit...
After a short consultation, the surgery began.. there was a short sharp pain when the dentist injected the anasthetic. After a while, half of my mouth was swollen and 75% of it went numb.. the show started.. the sawing noise made my hair stand (it still does when i think of it now).. my mouth was pulled here and there.. the dentist repeatedly told me to "open your mouth wider".. but I really dunno how wide is wide as it was almost numb.. i tried to gauge the so-called "wideness" and opened as big as possible.. After the tooth was saw, there was some cracking noise as this was the dentist breaking and pulling up the pieces.. repeated sawing.. it was horrific~!! I kept asking God to save me..! Sh*t! I hate visits to the dentist!!! after it was done, the dentist sewed up the wound.. Here comes the 2nd tooth to be extracted... the left top wisdom tooth.. it was considered a normal extraction instead of a surgery as it was not impacted like the one at the bottom.. (my Gosh! my bottom one was horizontally grown!) 2 super painful injections (the bloody dentist said "just a little uncomfortable.. kao!) followed by a short rest before he used all his drink-milk strength to yank up my toothie.. Done.. he showed me my toothies.. I was rather shocked to see that I have a really gigantic left top wisdom tooth, and the bottom one was pretty smashed up and unrecognizable.. was it a part of me before..? I dunno, I never rememebered ugly stuff...
Took a cab home immediately.. could not talk, so i showed the cabby my address written on a piece of paper.. sh*t.. he tot was mute and asked me "You cannot talk ah.." I felt like pointing him my centre-point.. duhz.. well, I gestured that "I just had an extraction.. (you bloody animal)" After the anasthetic wears off, the trauma began... it was bloody PAINFUL... Can't talk, can't eat and worse, non-stop bleeding... it lasted for almost 5hrs... until I removed the gauze... it was damn bloody... more than mens... I gotta take more tonic.. I am losing too much blood! SOS!! Dinner was meat porridge.. hungry and really hungry.. but i can't even open a cm of my mouth.. so had to use the spoon to slowly pour food in.. why not install a tube.. faster this way.. well, I hope I can.. the wound started hurting badly when it was disturbed... another round of trauma began.. pain till can't talk anymore.. (I could speak alittle earlier on) at 8pm, I took my med and the painkiller did help alittle.. though tremendous pain came before it subsided...
It was rather a traumatic day for me.. well, I guess not all wisdom tooth extraction are as bad as mine la.. I guess alot of people fared better than me.. blame it on my big toothie, impacted position,and i simply hate people tempering with my teeth... most importantly, blame it on my wisdom, cuz only smart people got big wisdom tooth! That's why its called "Wisdom" (Bullshit!) tomorrow shall be another day and I hope the pain would go away soon... that's about all folks.. hope my story didnt scare you from having yours done!! Kekekekez..... lallalalalallalaaaaaaaa..... time for med!!
