Unlucky day

Was annoyed by a prc in office this morning.. Got half a day off, left ofc and realized phone is still there. Walked a good 12mins back to collect it and now still stranded in cbp waiting for a bus, any bus, to bring me out of this cursed place.. Weather is hot, so waited under a tree only to have this stupid branch fall off and nearly hit me.. Darn, what luck! On a positive note - it missed me and I'm going shopping now!

Finally decided on this automatic model for casual "rough" use to the office.. Competitors are dkny and French connection.. It will serve me well as a watch and as an accessory.. First time to buy a bling bling watch, other than my omega, and a big watch face!! One more item struck off from my wishlist.. Hope to get more off soon :)

Finally

Finally, my blog is back! Was freaked as thought I had lost almost 7 years of entries! Had wanted to look for another free blog site but haven't really got the time to start one..

So, after polling day, everything went back to normal.. Yet still, there are people still post links on politics in facebook.. I dun really want to read already.. Now is the time to focus on the 'new' government..

Alot of things to write about the polling results, yet to sleepy to do it now..

As for work, not sure why, I've been feeling a struggle lately.. I feel like doing something more instead of all these.. New people join the office.. New, irritating people.. And the rest of us are still botching about them on a daily basis.. Lol...! Who cares! Gonna talk more about this on another day..

Polling day.. Thoughts..

So, I have cast my vote.. The first time in my life to have a choice in choosing the MP that I want...

The choice is clear... I want an MP who is consistent and manages my constituency well.. I want a government who can deliver and gives me faith..

Thoughts on PAP.. When I was a child, I dunno what is the PAP.. I thought it was a school which I went to when I turned 5.. Slowly I heard things like they are the pay and pay.. They love money and they are lousy.. Blah blah.. And all those crap... I never like to read current affairs, I don't really care about policies.. I just live my life as a law-abiding citizen, who work hard to earn money for a better life and future.. I like it this way.. Nothing really affects me and there's the structured way to live my life..

In this GE, I was suddenly drawn to politics by fb comments.. It seems alot of my friends are pro-opposition, so does the rest of my family.. I wanted to remain aloof to all these and just cast my vote when the time comes.. But, in the last 3 days before polling day, I went into a deep study of current affairs, watching rallies on YouTube, reading fb comments, forums, newspapers and studied the candidates for who, what they are and their plans for the constituency they contested for.. It made my decision clearer..

I don't have faith in the opposition.

I am nonchalant when it comes to passing policies by the PAP.. I don't even know what is the current cpf contribution rate by the employers.. All I know is my life has improved tremendously in the past 20 years.. From riding bus to driving car, from a cramped 3-rm hdb flat to my own 4-rm flat and 3 years later, my own ec.. All these came with hard work and a don't complain so much attitude..

From this period of election fever, I have seen how ugly singaporeans are.. They complain TOO much.. They blame the government for raising prices, hdb prices and supply, PAP for being too arrogant, they blame the government for anything and everything and things as ridiculous as the escape of mas selamat and the orchard road flood.. HAHAHA! I wanna lol.. So you want a perfect government? Where to find? You think the opposition can be THE perfect government? Noone thank the government for what they have done.. For the share bonus that was given out on labour day.. For the higher value we have in our hdb flats, for the strong Singapore dollar.. For the forced savings and high cpf interest rate that allows me to buy my first hdb flat, otherwise I would have spent away all my 10 years of salaries..

So, people love to hear the opposition talks.. People love it and got high when people like Low Thia Kiang and Nicole Seah slam the government.. So you think LTK makes a good MP? How about making him a PM and he will tell you: "I'll tell you what are my plans for Singapore only when I become the PM".. In a rally where Nicole Seah spoke, she said Mr Chiam See Tong loved Singapore. Which minister don't love Singapore? When MM Lee broke down when he declared the separation of Singapore from Malaya 50 years ago, those are crocodile tears? Who don't love Singapore? Who don't wish Singapore to have a bright future? I dunno about the rest, but I love this country very very much.. Whenever I hear the national anthem or some 爱国歌曲, that kind of teary feeling just came about.. Yes I love my Singapore, I hope her to have a bright future for my next generations to live in..

For those who pro-opposition, so you wish them to win and take over Singapore. You complain the MP are always missing and always ask their kakia to entertain you instead. So you think when people like LTK and NS becomes your MP, you think they would go your house everyday to entertain you and hear you speak? You think they can bring down the prices of hdb flats and make sure food and commodity prices don't increase despite there is something call global inflation?

In every growing economy there is bound to be disparity in the distribution of wealth.. We are not a communist society, we don't share wealth.. Why would I want to give away my hard earned money as welfare to the poor, when I have studied hard to earn a degree and found the job which pays to my expectation? Why should ministers lower their salary when they studied so hard and worked so hard for the country? People are just sore over the money the ministers earn.. If you have what it takes, noone is stopping you to become an MP and earn that money..

I have always respected the PAP and its ministers, for the simple fact I grew up with them.. Me, as a human being and the ministers as ministers.. My life is so much better than before and I don't take this for granted.. I will continue to work hard and make my life even better.. And will not complain like those lazy people who don't even like to work but keeps kao peh kao bu.. And my opinion of the opposition is, they are a bunch of taokang speakers who claimed that once PAP becomes your MP once again, they will treat you well for a few days then cast you aside again. So, they didn't promise you upgrading but promise you they will visit you everyday? I have zero faith in the opposition and I don't think I like some 阿狗阿猫 or some ite graduated warehouse worker to be my MP..

To hell with those people who ask me "so when you need help one day your MP will never meet you" I hack care.. I say again I am a law abiding citizen, I work hard and never get into any kind of trouble, I don't need my MP to solve my problems.. As long as my estate is clean and the constituency council service is good, I am fine with that..

I decided not to put this into fb as I know politics make people fight.. I am the only pro PAP person at home, all the rest is going for the opposition, especially my dad who is super against PAP.. Noone should tell me who should I vote for.. I am a 31 year old working adult with my own opinions and hopes for the future of Singapore. I almost fight with my dad when they (Inc my mum) are not able to wash my brains on PAP.. So I decided to keep quiet to avoid that fight.. Let them go ahead and ruin the future of singaporeans as they are this age already and might not even see the future of my daughter and possibly my grandchildren.. To avoid conflict, I penned all my thoughts and frustrations of stupid ugly singaporeans in this blog which noone really see it anyways!!

For those people who vote opposition for the thought of "I don't wish PAP to be so arrogant" go ahead and ruin your next 5 years.. You are only acting for the feeling you have now, you are not looking ahead to a better Singapore. I stand by MM Lee's comment on the Aljunied residents if you vote George Yeo out of parliament, you have to live and regret that decision for the next 5 years.. Repent repent!!!

Walau eh

Singaporeans, you complain TOO much!! Go ahead and cast that vote! When your country is run by some taokang big mouth lass or warehouse worker or some uncles who want to rear chickens and ducks on your roof top, then you will get a taste of that wonderful first world parliament.

Politics, I mean the real politics, politics, sucks.. It makes people argue and fight with one another..

Even myself, someone who is quite non-chalant can get angry with self-righteous people and especially those stupid fb comments. What the f**k singaporeans?! THINK before you say something ok? Respect the respected ones and don't forever put yourself on top of others!

Sick of the brainless.. Just keep your xyz mouth up and ears/eyes open!
